Our Pie Day wedding ceremony was a celebration of our group and our values. We deliberate our wedding ceremony to be a mirrored image of the sorts of group processes that we love: group organizing conferences, youth teams, and participatory studying areas. For our ceremony, we took our inspiration from the 4 parts. Our lead facilitator and officiant invited our circle of friends to mirror individually, in small teams, after which out loud on quick readings related to our core values: authenticity (fireplace), divinity (air), partnership (earth), and charm (water).

Sharing was completed popcorn fashion; we have been shocked and touched by who selected to supply their reflections. Our candle-lighting ceremony and group music have been led by our given and chosen households, adopted by our vows, framed across the similar values. We requested one another on to consent to our shared life collectively, after which have been pronounced eternally babes! It was such a significant day, and we’re so grateful to our group for supporting us.
